Yup, we got two see three of our Glee faves do what they do best. Dance & Sing! I was so excited about this because the Gleedom has been pretty quiet lately. It was super nice to see Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr, and the iconic John Stamos participate in recreating some infamous movie dance scenes.
Derek and Julianne Hough were the main hosts and dancers for the program. They include a lot of other dancers and stars to assist them in many of the dances. It was nice to see a great mix of actors and dancers participate in this family fun program. You can find it streaming on either Hulu or Disney+
Amber Riley sang Roxanne from Moulin Rouge; vocally perfect as always.
I was slightly shocked they didn’t have her sing All That Jazz from the musical Chicago as well. She would have killed that song vocally. She created gold with her rendition of Roxanne; seriously, amazing! I really can’t wait to see more from her.
We have all seen what Harry Shum Jr has been doing. He has continued acting in television shows and movies since his Glee days. So it was such a treasure to see him dance again.
Julianne Hough and Harry Shum dance to A Tale As Old As Time from the Disney animated film Beauty and The Beast. It was truly amazing and I completely had flashbacks to Mike Chang dancing with Britney S. Pierce in the choir room. It was an incredible number and both Julianne and Harry just looked like they were having so much fun. I really loved it.
Although brief, John Stamos channeled his inner Elvis for a clip of Viva Las Vegas. Uncle Jesse fans would be so proud to watch this. I couldn’t help but envision Carl with Ms. Pilsberry of course.
Every number in this program was just incredible. I really enjoyed watching this. It was fun to see everyone come together and just have fun!
