This costume was worn by Neil Haskell in season 5 episode 11 of Glee titled “City Of Angels.” Neil Haskell portrayed the character of Dolth from Throat Explosion (led by Jean Baptiste, portrayed by Skylar Astin). Neil had a single line in this episode where he asks Sam if the picture of Finn is his spirit guide and then gets scolded by Jean Baptiste. This is sad because Neil has been a performer in various shows both on television and broadway.
This is a performance costume that was worn during the first half of Mr. Roboto (by Styx) and Counting Stars (by OneRepublic). This costume is made from a very thick and heavy material. It is unknown what brand or company originally made these clothing items as no tag is available inside. The straps appear to have been added on after purchase but this is not confirmed. The name Neil is labeled inside both the jacket and pants.
The mask is light plastic. The name Neil is labeled inside with tape. There are cushion pieces inside the mask for comfort. It also has an elastic strap around the back to keep it mask on. It is believed the masks were made specifically for this performance but this cannot be confirmed. Although no wardrobe tag accompanied this it did come with a copy of the certificate of authenticity from the Official 20th Century Fox Glee auction.
