This jacket is used during the 4th episode of season 6 of Glee titled ‘The Hurt Locker Part 1.” It was worn by an extra dancer performing the song Rock Lobster (by the B52s) during the Vocal Adrenaline performance. There are no labels on the jacket to indicate the brand.
The absence of a brand label and its light weight material raises the question of this was a piece created strictly for the production of this performance. There is one tag on the jacket that has a handwritten name of ‘JUL’ on it. But there is not JUL listed in the Glee Wiki or IMDB; providing credibility to the fact that was an extra dancer.
There is a possibility that these jackets were created by Western Costume Company. As this company is believed to have some connection with the production of Glee (several items received by this museum were in boxes or bags form this company). But this hypothesis is unconfirmed.
