This headshot is of Naya Rivera when she was just four years old. It was a promotional headshot for the CBS sitcom The Royal Family starring Redd Foxx, Della Reese, Mariann Aalda, Sylver Gregory, Larenz Tate, Naya Rivera, Jackée Harry, & Barry Shabaka Henley. It ran from 1991 until 1992; when the ratings started to decrease after Redd Foxx untimely death.

Naya’s work on the program got her a nomination for the Young Artist Award at just the age of five. In her book ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ Rivera wrote that at this age she learned her lines by recitation and memorizing them since she wasn’t able to read yet. She also wrote about how this role of Hillary Winston helped her fall in love with being on television.
