First, Happy Birthday Adam Lambert. Yup, Adam celebrated his 39th birthday by doing two Livestream shows promoting his latest album, Velvet. It also helped since he had to postpone his Las Vegas residency because of Covid-19.
It was incredible. He performed a great variety of songs (some I didn’t know because I hadn’t listened to Velvet yet). He did some Queen songs and some older hits it was a very nice mix.

I watched the second show (he had two performances) as the first show would have been at three in the afternoon here on the east coast. I wanted to be able to really enjoy the show so I put my electric fireplace on and got some corn popped!
This was my first actual concert live-streamed (Darren Criss’s Dec-Aid was a different type of live stream as it wasn’t a concert). I won’t lie it was slightly strange as there wasn’t the typical audience screaming but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I am super happy that Adam was my first live stream concert.
Adam did a great job of keeping everyone involved in the performance. I am sure it was odd doing a show without an audience but Adam didn’t make it feel like it was any different. He treated the shows like it was just a regular event and was very engaging.

His band did an incredible job with every song and his voice was just incredible; his rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and Another One Bite’s the Dust were just immaculate. Of course, I couldn’t help but get giddy when we sang Trespassing and What Do You Want From Me; I really can’t even pick a favorite moment from the show as every song was just amazing. I really just can’t get over how impressive his vocal range is; it really is jaw-dropping.
Don’t take my word for it. See for yourself; I was able to find the first performance available on youtube if you want to relive this amazing show.
I highly recommend watching this if you are able to. It really is an incredible time and a wonderful show. It is a great way to spend a cold winter night by the glow of a fire (or electric fireplace as I did).
