My first adventure into becoming a Gleek was seeing the LMDC Tour back in 2018. Honestly, this is kinda what inspired me to make The Glee Bucket List. Also, it was an amazing show.

This was fun cause it also happened around my wedding anniversary. It was incredible. Easton Pennsylvania is an adorable town. I had a lot of fun walking around the square and looking at all the shops. We made it a great holiday by going to Easton for the show and then Gettysburg for the rest of the week.
The State Theater was gorgeous. The best part was the acoustic within this theater was amazing. Leah and Darren opened with “Broadway Baby” and I immediately got flashbacks to the round room from NYADA. What I did enjoy was that they didn’t stick to just songs from Glee they really mixed it up. Some of their own music was also played as well. It was really nice all around.

Leah, of course, sang her iconic rendition of “Don’t Rain on My Parade.” I honestly got extremely excited, it is a classic Rachel Berry song, I had to hold back my geekiness when she started singing it. She also sang “Glitter In The Air” as well (another incredible cover).
When her set was done Darren came on stage and they did a couple of songs together again. It was really cool and a nice transition into his set. As always Darren hit all the stops. He did “Teenage Dream” (he started it out as the season four version by slowing down) and some songs from A Very Potter Musical. My inner teenybopper really fanned out when all this was going on.
Both Leah and Darren also interacted with the crowd. The young girl in front of me got to answer Leah’s question about “what their favorite Glee song was” which lead to her rendition of “Don’t Rain On My Parade.” It was really sweet. Darren did the same and really talked to the audience. He discussed Glee, Starkid, and whatnot. It was really nice and gave the show an intimate vibe. I really enjoyed that.

The two really put on a great show. My Gleekiness was really happy. I am super proud that I made this my first Glee show (did make me wish I saw the original Glee Tour but what can you do).
Towards the end of the show, both Darren and Leah returned to the stage and performed a few duets. My favorite performance was from these two together.
They performed an acoustic version of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.” The song echoed beautifully within the walls of the theater. I got chills and was brought to tears by this performance. It wasn’t mentioned but you knew that it was a tribute to Cory Montieth as this was the song she performed in Season 5’s episode The Quarterback. It was just incredible.
